Bhakti Sarthi (“the app”) is an independent companion for studying Bhagavad-gītā As It Is. This policy describes what data the app uses and stores.
The app has no user accounts. Bookmark, favorites, notes, and settings stay on your device.
Crash reports: If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics may receive a stack trace, app version, and device model so the issue can be fixed. Reports do not include your notes, bookmarks, scanned images, or verse text. We do not set a user ID and we do not sell data. Google Analytics event collection and advertising ID collection are disabled.

This data stays on your device unless you uninstall the app or clear app storage.
Camera access is used only when you open the verse scanner to read verse numbers from your book or stickers. The camera is not used in the background.
If you enable Daily śloka notification, the app schedules a local reminder at your chosen time. You can turn this off in Settings at any time. On Android 13+, the app requests notification permission when you enable this feature.
The app may download Sanskrit recitation audio from bhagavadgitaclass.com over HTTPS when you play a verse or when chapter audio is prefetched. Crash reports are sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics over HTTPS. Verse text is bundled in the app; no account is required.
Verse text and commentary are from Bhagavad-gītā As It Is (Bhaktivedanta Book Trust edition). Sanskrit audio is credited to HG Rādhā Gopīnāth Prabhu via bhagavadgitaclass.com.
The app is suitable for general audiences studying scripture. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy. The in-app About screen will reference the latest version.
